Andreas Maris - Website Copy
It was a bleak February day in Turin when Andreas, a lovely motion designer from Greece, reached out to me about his website copy. He wanted something fun, something breezy, something that oozed Mediterranean professional vibes and he quickly won me over by referencing my own website in the process. Flattery, folks, can work wonders!
See some of the wonders I pulled myself, building up the whole copy for his shiny new website ✨
And had a bit of fun with it, playing with rhymes and punchy phrases, while also making sure we got the main message across. Andreas does wonders with complex concepts, turning them into clear, visual storytelling, so the website copy had to reflect that as well. It’s just that I use words instead of keyframes 😎
We said no to boring intros
And on those 🌞 Mediterranean vibes. It’s easy to lose sight of one’s personality when trying to build a freelance portfolio - the temptation to look all serious & formal is real. That’s why we aimed for a balance between the personal and the professional, focusing on his traits as well as his professional expertise.
We focused on the story
Conversation is key – which is easier said than done when you’re talking to an abstract audience on your website, hehe. Thankfully, I have great expertise in talking to and by myself 😌, so addressing imaginary clients was an easy feat. We kept it light and informal, focused on the problems Andreas can solve and made everything as straightforward and easygoing as possible.
