Let me spare you that quick Instagram scroll

Current situation: Born in Bucharest, living in Italy, might be moving to London.

Greatest achievements: graduating without Chat GPT, surviving a pandemic & having the same friends since high school. Pretty happy with my newsletter, too.

Biggest flops: failing my driver’s test (3 times), postponing my masters thesis (to when I’m retired?) & always applying my eyeliner wrong (symmetry is overrated).

Stuff I love
(in no specific order)

Sailor Moon, writing Tickle News, natural wine, memes about people who drink natural wine, Liverpool, watching tennis and commenting from my couch, anything that Andy Murray says, anything that Hugh Grant says, colorful clothing, whales (+ smaller animals, too), projects with little feedback, talking to artists, Twin Peaks, complaining, Venice, cantaloupe on hot summer days, Roksanda, Paul Auster books, Andrew Scott movies & Walton Goggin’s house.

Stuff I learned

✦ Cutting your own fringe is never a good idea.
✦ That “quick” edit is never really quick.
✦ Better not to plan trips with Mercury retrograde.
✦ If, during a football match, one team is clearly dominating & has a bunch of occasions to score, but somehow doesn’t, the other team will win. Yes, I’m talking about Liverpool.
✦ To be alive is a very silly affair that should not be taken too seriously.
✦ Just like with work feedback, things will get worse before they get better.

Stuff I wish didn’t exist

Mosquitoes, wedge sneakers, low-rise jeans, blisters & wars

If I wouldn’t be doing this, I’d be

Opening my own little shop with cool design stuff, books, nice wine and quirky neighbourhood events, having coffee with the other small business owners down the road and complaining about the state of the world with grumpy old men (my fantasies are very detailed, ok?).

I even started a brand called Life Tickles, with merch & gifts for freelancers & other tired people. It was a super nice experiment that I shelved for now, because the Italian tax system freaks me out.

But enough about me,
let’s hear all about yooooou!
